Serebrier talks about his musical upbringing in South America and impressions of conductors Erich Kleiber and Fritz Busch; stories about the All-American Youth Orchestra performing in Montevideo, Uruguay; an anecdote about Toscanini conducting in Montevideo; Serebrier's time as a student at the Curtis Institute of Music; and his first meeting with Stokowski when Stokowski conducted Serebrier's Symphony no. 1.
